Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Design and execute high-quality inflight menus aligned with airline standards
- Lead and train kitchen teams to maintain consistency and efficiency
- Oversee food safety, hygiene, and regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with procurement for ingredient sourcing and cost control
- Innovate based on passenger preferences, airline feedback, and market trends
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring all dishes are prepared to the highest standards while maintaining efficiency and organization.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends and seasonal ingredients.
- Manage kitchen staff by providing training, guidance, and support to foster a productive and harmonious work environment.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment at all times.
- Assist in inventory management by tracking supplies, ordering ingredients, and minimizing waste through efficient practices.
- Implement cost control measures to optimize kitchen operations while maintaining quality and presentation of food.
- Conduct regular quality checks on food presentation and taste to uphold the restaurant's reputation and guest satisfaction.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Minimum 5 years of experience in aviation or inflight catering
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification from a recognized institution to ensure foundational knowledge in cooking techniques.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Knowledge of HACCP and airline catering standards
- Passion for culinary excellence and innovation
