Job Description

The role of a Facilities Engineer is crucial in ensuring that physical structures and systems within an organization are functioning efficiently and effectively. This position involves a combination of technical prowess, management skills, and strategic thinking to oversee and manage the infrastructure of a company. As a Facilities Engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance, operation, and improvement of infrastructures such as buildings, utilities, and environmental systems. You will play a pivotal role in designing facility layouts, optimizing energy use, and ensuring that all facilities meet health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate brings a passion for operational excellence and an innovative approach to problem-solving, as well as strong communication skills to collaborate with various departments and external vendors.


Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement maintenance and operations plans for facility systems.
  • Oversee the design and construction of new facility projects or modifications.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Coordinate maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime and prevent operational disruptions.
  • Collaborate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams for project execution and verification.
  • Create and manage budgets related to the maintenance and improvement of facilities.
  • Assess and improve energy efficiency across all facilities to reduce operational costs.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, projects, and facility operations.
  • Develop contingency plans to manage emergencies and unforeseen maintenance issues.
  • Advise on the purchase and installation of new equipment or systems to enhance operations.
  • Implement sustainability initiatives to reduce waste and promote eco-friendly practices.
  • Ensure all facilities adhere to government regulations, including health and safety standards.

Requirements
  • Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in facilities management or engineering roles.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, HVAC, and electrical systems.
  • Proven experience in project management and managing large-scale facilities projects.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills are essential.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
  • Proficiency in using facilities management software and tools for planning and documentation.
