Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Provide strategic and operational leadership for all factory activities, ensuring full compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies.
Plan, direct, and control joinery and fit-out production operations to achieve on-time, on-budget, and high-quality project delivery.
Lead, mentor, and develop factory management, supervisors, and production teams to build a high-performance culture.
Collaborate closely with project managers, designers, engineers, and senior management to align factory output with project and business requirements.
Oversee procurement strategy, inventory management, and vendor relationships for timber, hardware, finishes, machinery, and consumables.
Ensure optimal utilization, maintenance, and continuous improvement of machinery, equipment, and CNC operations.
Review and approve shop drawings, fabrication drawings, material specifications, and production methods to ensure technical accuracy and constructability.
Implement and drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, craftsmanship, lean manufacturing, waste reduction, and cost control.
Establish and monitor factory KPIs, production schedules, and performance reports to support informed decision-making.
Identify operational risks and proactively implement corrective and preventive actions
Desired Candidate Profile
Extensive expertise in joinery manufacturing, interior fit-out construction, wood materials, hardware, finishes, and advanced production techniques.
Strong technical capability in reading and approving architectural, shop, and fabrication drawings.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and strong working knowledge of CNC machinery, woodworking equipment, and modern manufacturing processes.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage large teams and multiple complex projects simultaneously.
Strong commercial awareness with experience in budgeting, cost control, and waste management.
Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills, with the ability to perform under tight deadlines.
Minimum of 8+ years of progressive experience in factory management within the joinery and interior fit-out industry, including leadership roles.
