Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Oversee daily farm operations, ensuring optimal productivity and efficiency across all agricultural activities.
- Develop and implement crop production plans, including planting, irrigation, fertilization, and harvesting schedules.
- Manage and supervise farm staff, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations.
- Monitor and maintain farm equipment, facilities, and infrastructure to ensure safety and operational readiness.
- Coordinate procurement and inventory management of seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, and other farm supplies.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices.
- Analyze crop yields, soil conditions, and weather patterns to optimize production and mitigate risks.
- Prepare and manage budgets, track expenses, and report on financial performance of farm operations.
- Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, distributors, and other stakeholders.
- Implement sustainable farming practices and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor of Agriculture (Crops - Horticulture - Plant Protection - Soils and Water).
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in farm management or a related agricultural leadership role.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale farm operations and leading diverse teams.
- Strong understanding of crop production, soil management, and modern agricultural techniques.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work on-site and adapt to changing environmental conditions.
- Experience with budgeting, financial planning, and resource allocation.
- Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations in agriculture.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using farm management software and technology.
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects and priorities effectively.
- Available to Relocate to Ghana.
