Under close supervision, repair, maintain, test, proof or adjust as needed all fiber optic cables and related equipment in coordination with the variant Teams in the OSP. Ensure maximum quality and peak performance and reliability of all fiber optic networks.

• Respond to fiber damage events, perform splicing repairs of fiber optic cables directly or via vendor, and report all information concerning damages.
• Control the patrolling and network surveillance tasks and stating daily findings to Fiber operation supervisor.
• Inspecting and testing optical equipment used in telecommunications networks, Measure and record performance characteristics of outside plant with the testing equipment such as OTDR, OLTS, Fusion Splicers, and other related equipment.
• Performing a routine network check periodically, testing signal strength across all elements of the network, ensure maximum quality and peak performance and reliability of all fiber optic equipment, Report all testing documentation to the direct supervisor.
• Conduct Underground/Buried/Aerial optic cable layout surveys to determine most cost-effective solutions and path, capturing and submitting data using various types of electronic GIS equipment.
• Deployment Projects daily field following up, Quality check and certification testing of the new optic sections, accurately document measurements and placement,
• Lay underfloor, Conduit, or Aerial fiber optic cabling in the inside plant and setup E2E ODF interconnectivities inside data center locations.
• Maintain detailed records of each fiber task with daily reporting to the direct leader.

• 1-3 years of experience in the Fiber Optic OSP field
• Able to perform manual tasks requiring frequent walking, stooping, crouching, reaching, lifting, digging, pushing and pulling.
• Able to work outside in all elements, including weather extremes.
