Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Install, pull, route, and secure fiber optic cables (Single Mode & Multi-Mode). Perform fiber splicing, termination, and patch panel installation. Conduct fiber testing using OTDR, power meter, and light source. Identify, troubleshoot, and rectify fiber faults and signal loss issues. Read and interpret drawings, fiber layouts, and technical specifications. Ensure proper labeling of fiber cables and update as-built documentation. Coordinate with project engineers, supervisors, and other technicians. Follow project schedules and complete tasks within deadlines. Comply with HSE policies and site safety regulations at all times. Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and system checks. Maintain tools, testing equipment, and work areas in good condition.
Desired Candidate Profile
Diploma / ITI / Technical certification in Fiber Optics, ELV, or a related field. Minimum 2–5 years hands-on experience as a Fiber Optic Technician. Proven experience in fiber splicing, termination, and testing. Ability to use OTDR, power meter, and fusion splicing machines confidently. Strong understanding of structured cabling and fiber optic standards. Ability to read and understand technical drawings and schematics. Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Able to work independently as well as part of a team. Physically fit to work on site and in challenging environments. Good communication skills; basic English required. UAE experience and immediate availability preferred. IMMEDIATE JOINERS PREFFERED.
