Develops, Plans, and Schedules for implementing heavy duty vehicle maintenance program. Responsible for overseeing of the checkout of all vehicle under SICO. The Heavy Wheel Mechanic also provides assistance to the SICO Team during unpacking, inventory, inspection, and support of the repair and check out of the MEIs. The Heavy Wheel Mechanic willprovide oversight on Organizational and Direct Support repairs in accordance with (IAW), US ARMY 10/20 PMCS Maintenance Standards. Reviews, changes, and updates Technical Manuals and makes recommendations as appropriate. Makes recommendations for training and repairs and administers On-The-Job Training for selected personnel. Makes recommendations on parts acquisitions. This position is located in Qatar.
Required Skills: Successful completion of Heavy Duty Vehicle Maintenance course of instruction from a recognized technical institute. Minimum often (10) years of field automotive maintenance experience to include troubleshooting and repair. Must be able to lift 50 pounds and work in an extreme desert heat environment.
Desired Skills: Graduate of specialized training on the M977 Series HEMTT. Demonstrated basic knowledge of the Patriot HEMTT refurbishment, modification, and system integration process. Demonstrated knowledge of Patriot peculiar launcher trailers and associated mechanics. Demonstrated experience in the HIAB and/or GROVE Crane to include troubleshooting, repair, and load testing. Demonstrated experience in the hydraulic and pneumatic system repair of the Patriot Antenna Mast Group. Demonstrated ability to interact with leadership effectively - including customer, Raytheon, teammates, and suppliers. Previous experience in International Patriot FMS Programs. Previous experience in training and training development. Experience living and working in an overseas location.
Required Education (including Major): An Bachelor's degree in applied science from an accredited university.
OR
High School Diploma with Heavy Duty Vehicle Maintenance equivalent to TWO (2) years experience for each ONE (1) year of higher education.
AND
Successful completion of Heavy Duty Vehicle Maintenance course of instruction from a recognized technical institute.
Must have a minimum ofTEN (10) Years experience in the maintenance and repair of Heavy Duty Vehicles.
