The Field Engineering Manager will participate in all aspects of system and operational support to include a key role developing of the project and in liaising between the site team and the headquarters staff.
Provides direction on activities and behaviours, identifies and analyses problems, plans, task, and solutions.
Provides guidance to site team on development, performance, productivity issues, and ensures problem solving coordinating the definition of “field design changes”.
Represents the team, presenting team suggestions and recommendations on processes and procedures in accordance with organization cost, quality, and productivity goals.
Requires experience in group processes and dynamics.
Reports to functional and/or organization management on team accomplishments, achievements, and productivity.
In particular it will deal with the installation of pre-assembled modules and skids for the revamping of a gas treatment plant.
Plans and directs all multidisciplinary activities on construction sites.
Monitors and works to ensure construction progresses as scheduled and contract specifications are adhered to.
Inspects construction site daily and works with contractors to schedule deliveries.
Ensures all construction engineering projects, initiatives, and processes are in conformance with organization's established policies and objectives.
Typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity.
Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from construction/operations and requiring coordination with other departments.
Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility
Typically reports to a head of a unit/department.
