Accountable to demonstrate proficiency in the installation and maintenance activities in respect of the assigned type of equipment/services. Attends to the assigned duties at the customer-end and demonstrates courtesy, politeness and promptness in customer interfaces

1. Carry out routine tasks involved in installing and maintaining the customer apparatus peripherals and connected plant for various Voices and Data services with minimal supervision and guide.
2. Prepare for daily work assignment by requisitioning equipment and supplies from warehouse, and stocking vehicle as needed
3. Attend service fulfillment requests within the defined appointment slots.
4. Assist in attending complex, large installation and maintenance programs.
5. Carry out plant improvement work such as re-wiring, preventive maintenance etc. as instructed by and on the guidance of the supervisor.
6. Assist in liaising with CS-Workshop on the maintenance of faulty equipment and peripherals.
7. Provide documentation support in maintaining proper records on the site activities and fault attendance.
8. Attend fault docket assurance requests within the unallocated slots scheduled by the controllers.
9. Coordinate with the CTSC/BTSC agents for any advanced technical support requirement while being at the customer premise
10. Log all activities performed on the field in the PDA appropriately. i.e. Log arrival job acceptance and completion time.
11. Present at customer premise until the completion of the job, unless approval is acquired from the team leader and the customer has received a new appointment data
12. Ensure accurate reporting of the incomplete jobs to the controller in order to ensure accurate communication (i.e. wrong EID, FDH splitter unavailability)
13. Update PDA with information related to customer link before leaving the customer
14. Attend to call-out duties as required outside normal working hours; reports and reviews the call-out attendance and performance quality with superiors.
15. Assist in the physical verification and testing of material and equipment vis-à-vis the prescribed standards. Notifies damages/discrepancies to the supervisor and follows up as required.
16. Demonstrates prompt, smart and courteous behavior in dealing with customers.
17. Shows keenness in learning and upgrading the knowledge and skill in the functional area of specialization.

Desired Candidate Profile

Preferred formal training on data and PABX equipment.

Preferred fundamental in GPON and FTTX network

Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma (HNC) in Electronics/ Electrical/Telecom Engineering or equivalent

2-3 years experience in the development, installation and maintenance of Customer Premises Equipment in Telecom Service Provider
