Job Description

As a Finance Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of our organization. This position involves working closely with the finance team to ensure accurate financial record-keeping, efficient data management, and assistance with reporting and compliance activities. You will be responsible for processing transactions, maintaining documentation, and assisting in budgeting and forecasting efforts. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing financial statements and reports with utmost accuracy and timeliness.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and promptness in transactions.
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Support the finance team in budgeting activities and preparing financial forecasts.
  • Maintain financial databases, ensuring all records are updated and well-organized.
  • Assist in preparing audit documentation and liaise with auditors as needed.
  • Provide support in month-end and year-end closing processes and reporting tasks.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to resolve invoice discrepancies and other issues.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
  • Assist with tax preparation and filing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with deadlines.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance financial operations efficiency.
  • Communicate effectively with various departments to support financial transparency and accountability.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Finance Assistant or in a similar financial role.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software applications.
  • Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work.
  • Solid understanding of financial and accounting principles and practices.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for team collaboration.
