Job Description

The role of a Finance Assistant Manager is pivotal within any organization, serving as a critical bridge between the financial department and senior management. This position is designed to help companies manage and track their financial performance, ensuring that financial practices are adhered to and optimized for success. As a Finance Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the finance team s daily operations, preparing financial statements and reports, and assisting in budget planning and analysis. You ll play a key role in helping to develop financial strategies that support the company s objectives. A successful Finance Assistant Manager should possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders. This role often requires collaboration across departments to ensure financial practices align with broader organizational goals.


Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage daily operations of the finance department efficiently and effectively.
  • Prepare financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to aid in management decision-making.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with external auditors during audits and provide necessary documentation.
  • Train and supervise junior finance staff to maintain high performance standards.
  • Ensure that all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Monitor and control the company's cash flow and ensure adequate liquidity.
  • Analyze financial discrepancies and recommend effective resolutions to management.
  • Participate in financial planning and strategy sessions with senior management teams.
  • Support month-end and year-end close process with precise data entry and reconciliation.
  • Engage with leadership to discuss financial performance and operational improvements.
  • Assess and enhance existing financial controls to ensure compliance with industry standards.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a finance or accounting role.
  • Proven experience in managing financial reports and performing analysis.
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in financial management software and advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills are essential.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data.
