Have you managed all aspects of the finances of a GROUP of companies? If yes, our client is seeking a Finance Director to join their team.
The role is a 30 hour week with the flexibility of working from the office and from home.
Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of the finances of the GROUP companies including but not limited to:
- Client billing and Credit Control; Contracting with and setting up new clients
- Management of Client funds held by GROUP companies
- Payment of suppliers, setting up and contracting with new suppliers
- Payment of staff salaries, social security and expenses;
- Treasury, banking and petty cash
- Office and company villa leases and contents
- External financial reporting and all compliance requirements
- Internal financial reporting and analysis
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Attend all internal company meetings as required
Manage the HR function of the GROUP companies including but not limited to:
- Employment contracts
- Recruiting and vetting process
- Disciplinary procedures and process
- Tracking of annual leave, sickness and other forms of leave and absence
- Participate in events as required
- Promote the GROUP companies and affiliated entities professionally in all circumstances
Undertake fee earning work for clients to a high standard- where required:
- Fee earning work; conduct any fee earning work, in a timely manner and in accordance with the GROUP companies procedures
- Ensure the correct and timely use of time recording/billing software to record all matters
- Actively contribute to all client meetings, conference calls and the ad-hoc advice as required; and
- Provide services in-house and to GROUP companies where requested
Analysis and business development:
- Support the owner of the GROUP in any business development including conduct analysis and due diligence of new business ideas, participate in meetings with potential business partners, actively contribute to the development of the GROUP
Administration:
- Ensure smooth and efficient administration across the GROUP including continuity in various contract renewals and IT subscriptions, negotiation with key suppliers such as insurance providers.
- IT responsible
- Key contact person for trade license office, company bank and other officials
Work with GROUP companies:
- Manage staff training for GROUP personnel
- Oversee the human resources and office administration function of GROUP companies
- Actively participate in the GROUP companies appraisal system and on-going professional development
- Report to the shareholder of GROUP companies on a timely basis on material matters
Work schedule:
- Ensure all assigned work carried out in a timely and professional manner
- Ensure understanding of assigned work priorities and deadlines
- Monitor own work progress and where relevant that of team members
Professional Conduct:
- Maintain client and company confidentiality
- Set a professional example in manner and conduct to all colleagues and clients in all circumstances
- Follow company practices to ensure safe keeping of documentation, evidence and assets entrusted to the firm
- Comply with firm policies and procedures including Anti-Bribery and Money Laundering
- Report any issues relating to professional conduct to the shareholder immediately
Undertake all other tasks such as are reasonable and commensurate with the role
