Job Description

The Financial Controller is a crucial member of the finance team, responsible for establishing and maintaining a company's financial principles, policies, procedures, and controls. This role involves strategic planning, developing and implementing financial initiatives, and ensuring compliance with legal standards. The Financial Controller will oversee the preparation of financial reports, summaries, and forecasts, which provide essential information for management and stakeholders. In addition, this position requires the ability to analyze financial data, interpret trends, and communicate insights to support business decisions. Success in this role demands a high level of integrity, attention to detail, and strong organizational and leadership skills.


Responsibilities
  • Oversee the preparation and publication of timely and accurate financial statements.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and manage the annual auditing processes effectively.
  • Develop financial and taxation strategies to optimize company growth and profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with domestic and international financial regulations and legislation.
  • Implement and oversee internal financial controls to mitigate risks and safeguard assets.
  • Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely recommendations.
  • Manage and forecast the company s cash flow and its implications on current and future operations.
  • Supervise the accounting department and manage the financial reporting process efficiently.
  • Evaluate the company s financial performance by comparing budget metrics to actual results.
  • Collaborate with executives to develop business strategies that enhance profitability and growth.
  • Review and approve financial transactions, ensuring they are recorded appropriately.
  • Train, mentor, and develop finance staff to ensure high performance and growth.

Requirements
  • Bachelor s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required.
  • Proven experience in finance management, with a leadership role preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple projects.
  • Proficiency in financial software and excellent Microsoft Excel skills are mandatory.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders.
