Job Description

The Financial Controller plays a pivotal role within the finance department, serving as a key leader in overseeing the financial operations of an organization. This position is crucial for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining internal control procedures, and supporting strategic financial planning. The Financial Controller works closely with executive management to analyze financial data, prepare accurate forecasts, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This role demands a blend of strong analytical skills, leadership, and a strategic mindset to drive financial performance and support the organization's goals. The ideal candidate should embody integrity, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex financial information effectively.


Responsibilities
  • Oversee the preparation and management of financial statements and reports.
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closing.
  • Develop and maintain internal control policies and procedures for the company.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and manage the annual audit process effectively.
  • Monitor and analyze financial data to ensure financial integrity and performance.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning initiatives.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Implement accounting standards and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Lead and develop the finance team to enhance their performance and capabilities.
  • Manage financial risks and develop strategies for risk mitigation and control.
  • Review and improve financial processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Coordinate with other departments to align financial management with business objectives.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is highly preferred.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in a financial leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis techniques.
  • Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • Excellent leadership skills and experience managing a finance team effectively.
  • Proficiency with financial software and Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
