Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
This is not a traditional AR position. The role combines collections analytics, PSP reconciliation, dealer outstanding management, and exception handling. You will ensure all receivables are accurately recorded, reconciled, collected, and escalated on time.
You will work across PSP settlement data (Checkout.com and others), internal AR ledgers, customer payment records, and dealer financial operations. Your work ensures our financial data is accurate, overdue balances are resolved, and the business has clear visibility over receivable performance.
What You ll Be Doing:
1. AR Reconciliation & Validation
- Reconcile daily and weekly PSP settlements (Checkout.com and others) against bank deposits and internal AR data.
- Identify mismatch cases, including missing settlements, unallocated receipts, duplicate charges, or incorrect amounts.
- Validate that all customer payments flow correctly into the AR ledger.
- Ensure receivables are recorded accurately in line with accounting policies.
2. Dealer Receivables Management
- Maintain, monitor, and reconcile dealer outstanding balances, including customer-level AR when relevant.
- Identify overdue items and escalate to the relevant internal teams or dealers.
- Track payment plans, settlement agreements, and outstanding follow-up.
3. Collections Monitoring & Reporting
- Monitor daily receivable inflows and support the collections strategy.
- Produce AR aging reports, customer balance dashboards, and overdue summaries.
- Support force-collection processes for overdue customers (working with Ops and Partnerships).
4. Exception Handling & Issue Resolution
- Investigate refunds, chargebacks, dispute cases, FC adjustments, and unapplied payments.
- Maintain an exception log and ensure all adjustments are accounted for accurately.
- Coordinate with PSPs and internal teams to resolve open cases in a timely manner.
5. Month-End Close & Audit Support
- Support Accounting with AR-related accruals, reconciliations, and closing activities.
- Prepare documentation for internal and external audit requests.
- Ensure that AR balances align with the general ledger and there are no unexplained variances.
6. FinOps Process Improvement
- Enhance AR tracking tools, reconciliation templates, and reporting workflows.
- Identify weaknesses in payment processing, settlement feeds, or AR posting logic and propose improvements.
- Collaborate with Tech, Data, and Product teams to automate AR processes and minimize manual work.
Desired Candidate Profile
What You Bring to the Table:
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3 5 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, FinOps, Settlements, or Payment Operations preferably in fintech, PSP, payments, mobility, or high-volume transactional environments.
