Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular inspections and testing of fire alarm systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational standards.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions in fire alarm systems, implementing effective solutions to restore functionality promptly.
  • Install and configure fire alarm systems, ensuring proper integration with existing safety equipment and infrastructure.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of service records, inspection reports, and compliance certificates for regulatory audits.
  • Respond promptly to emergency service calls, addressing urgent repairs and minimizing downtime for critical systems.
  • Assist in the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems.
  • Support SCADA system checks and protection relay coordination when needed.
  • Troubleshoot electrical faults.
  • Install, test, inspect, and maintain fire alarm systems (addressable and conventional).
  • Carry out functional testing of:

- Smoke and heat detectors
- Manual call points
- Fire alarm control panels (FACP)
- Sounders, strobes, and beacons

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance of fire alarm and fire suppression systems.
  • Erection and installation of electrical panels, including:

- Switchgear
- RTU (Remote Terminal Units)
- DCDB (DC Distribution Board)
- ACDB (AC Distribution Board)

  • Termination of power and control cables as per wiring diagrams.
  • Modification of relay panels based on updated schematics or field requirements.
  • Cable pulling, glanding, and dressing of LV/MV power and control cables.
  • Installation of cable trays, cable ladders, and cable trunking systems.
  • Installation of earthing conductors using copper tape and bonding to ensure system grounding compliance.
  • Laying out and installing electrical conduit piping for lighting systems and general-purpose outlets.
  • Welding and fitting of supports for:

- Fuel, water, CO₂ pipelines
- Other mechanical structures and light fabrication task


Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent in electronics or a related field is preferred.
  • Have a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in installing and maintaining fire alarm systems in commercial settings.
  • Experience in Power Plant or pumping station projects preferred.
  • Strong technical aptitude with a solid understanding of fire alarm circuit design, programming, and troubleshooting.
  • Willingness to work on-site across various UAE locations.
  • Strong knowledge of control panels, PLC systems, and instrumentation.
  • Show a commitment to continuous learning and professional development within the fire safety industry.
  • Physical ability to perform manual tasks, including climbing ladders and working in confined spaces, is crucial.
