Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Routine Maintenance & Testing:

  • Conduct periodic inspections and maintenance of firefighting systems, including:
  • Fire fighting system :
    • Fire extinguishers
    • Fire hose reels and hydrants
    • Fire sprinkler systems
    • Fire pumps (diesel, electric, jockey)
    • Gas suppression systems (FM200, CO2, NOVEC)

Fire Alarm System:

    • Fire Alarm system (per NFPA 72)
    • Device locations (Smoke, Heat, MCP, Sounders, etc.)
    • Panel & Riser Diagrams
    • Wiring & Zoning Layouts
    • Emergeny & Exsit light & centeral Bettary system
    • Public Address and Voice Alarm (PAVA) system
  • Perform operational tests to verify functionality and readiness.
  • Record test results and update maintenance logs.

Troubleshooting & Repairs:

  • Diagnose faults in firefighting systems and perform repairs or escalate to the engineer if needed.
  • Replace damaged or expired equipment and components as per standards.
  • Ensure fire pumps and control panels are operational and tested regularly.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Diploma / ITI in Mechanical, Electrical, or related technical field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in firefighting system maintenance in the UAE or GCC.
  • Working knowledge of NFPA and UAE Fire Code standards.
  • Familiar with maintenance of firefighting systems, tools, and safety gear.
