Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair fire protection pipe systems according to specifications.
• Interpret and understand blueprints and design specifications for fire systems.
• Ensure compliance with local and national fire safety codes and regulations.
• Conduct regular inspections and testing of installed fire suppression systems.
• Repair or replace faulty components of fire safety systems promptly.
• Collaborate with safety engineers and relevant personnel on fire safety installations.
• Document maintenance activities and repairs for system compliance records.
• Train junior technicians in proper procedures and installation techniques.
• Maintain a safe work environment by following all health and safety guidelines.
• Keep accurate inventory of tools and materials required for projects.
• Respond urgently to any emergencies or system failures to mitigate risks.
• Advise on improvements to enhance system reliability and efficiency.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a fire fighting technician or pipe fitter, with relevant certifications.
• Strong understanding of fire protection systems, mechanics, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings accurately.
• Familiarity with local and national fire safety codes and regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
• Good physical condition and ability to work in various environments.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
