Roles & Responsibilities
A Fleet Sales Manager plays a pivotal role in driving the sales and operations of fleet vehicles for a business. They are responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with commercial clients and corporate partners to increase fleet sales opportunities. The role requires strategic planning to generate sales leads and achieve sales targets while managing both existing accounts and seeking new clients. An individual in this position must possess strong negotiation skills, market knowledge, and the ability to manage large sales portfolios. They must be adept at providing excellent customer service and be continually aware of emerging market trends to tailor offerings to meet client needs. The Fleet Sales Manager will work closely with other departments, including finance and operations, to ensure the seamless delivery of services and maintain a high level of client satisfaction. The role demands a keen eye for detail and a thorough understanding of sales processes, as well as the ability to lead a sales team to success in a competitive market.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve fleet sales targets and objectives.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the fleet customer base.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing corporate and commercial clients.
- Work closely with the marketing team to drive promotional sales campaigns.
- Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting and reporting to senior management.
- Oversee the negotiation and drafting of fleet sales contracts and agreements.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to stay ahead in the industry.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to build long-term business partnerships.
- Ensure compliance with legal and corporate policies in all sales transactions.
- Lead and mentor a team of sales professionals to enhance their sales skills.
- Coordinate with logistics to ensure timely delivery and procurement of fleet inventories.
- Engage in regular client meetings and presentations to showcase fleet offerings.
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is required.
- Proven experience in sales, preferably within the automotive or fleet industry.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for this role.
- Excellent negotiation and contract management skills with commercial clients.
- Ability to analyze market trends and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing a sales team effectively.
- Proficient in CRM software and familiar with basic finance and accounting principles.
