Roles & Responsibilities

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct regular in-person client visits to maintain a strong presence and foster long-term relationships.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring accessibility during and outside of business hours as needed.
  • Proactively seek client feedback post-project or post-sale to assess satisfaction and identify areas for improvement.
  • Lead sales efforts in assigned territories, including strategic planning, prospecting, early-stage project discovery, and pipeline forecasting.
  • Create and deliver detailed, solution-oriented technical proposals and quotations that directly address client challenges and objectives.
  • Provide consultative support during job planning, offering technical guidance and customized solutions.
  • Prepare documentation for RFQ/RFP processes and ensure timely, accurate submissions in collaboration with internal stakeholders such as Legal, HR, QHSE, and other relevant departments.
  • Review contract terms, costs, insurance requirements, and other key elements in coordination with legal, prior to leadership review and approval.
  • Log all sales activities, opportunities, and client interactions in Salesforce and ensure accuracy and completeness of data to support reporting and decision-making.
  • Support collections efforts by following up with clients on outstanding payments and coordinating with internal finance teams as needed.
  • Conduct market assessment, monitor competitor activity, and share key insights with sales leadership to inform strategy.
  • Stay current with industry trends and innovations through professional development and participation in industry organizations and events.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align on sales goals, drive cross-functional initiatives, and support business growth.
  • Support marketing efforts by coordinating trade shows and representing the company at key industry conferences.
  • Travel to out-of-town client locations as required.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor s degree in a scientific or technical discipline (e.g., Geology, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering) is strongly preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant industry experience may also be considered
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in upstream oil and gas exploration and development, reservoir fluid analysis, or related analytical services. Experience in a client-facing or technical sales capacity is strongly preferred.
  • Valid driver s license with a clean driving record.
  • Valid passport and ability to travel domestically and internationally (specifically GCC) as required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES
  • Strong technical background in the collection and laboratory analysis of reservoir fluids in the upstream oil and gas sector.
  • Understanding of the design and engineering of Field Sampling, PVT, Analytical Chemistry, Flow Assurance and EOR analytical programs and the application of the subsequent datasets in addressing real world challenges in the exploitation of hydrocarbon resources.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and in-person engagement.
  • Strong consultative skills with the ability to identify client needs and deliver tailored, solution-oriented proposals.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly to clients and internal teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and CRM platforms such as Salesforce; able to quickly learn new tools and systems.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong documentation, reporting, and time management capabilities.
  • Capable of managing multiple accounts and projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and sales targets.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to exercise sound judgment in dynamic environments.
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively across departments such as Legal, Finance, and Operations.
  • Proficient in basic and applied math, including percentages, ratios, and proportions, for use in pricing, quoting, and forecasting.
  • Demonstrates initiative, professionalism, and a high level of accountability in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and results-driven, with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through
  • Previous experience in technical or consultative sales is preferred, particularly in laboratory, or service-based environments.
  • Data Literacy: can demonstrate an ability to analyse, interpret, and communicate operational data to derive actionable insights, inform decision-making, and operational improvements to achieve strategic business objectives.
  • Digital Agility: can demonstrate an ability to utilize technology to enhance operational efficiency and prepare the organization to adopt digital practices.
