The prime objective for the person holding this role is the achievement of the annual sales volume and revenue objectives I.e., managing of profit & loss, cash flows set as per the forecasted annual budget.

The role spans all the consumer business categories in Business Unit and is designed to ensure that each of the categories and brands achieve their stated objectives on an annual basis.

The volume and revenue objectives will be achieved via the development and execution of a clear business strategy which will consolidate the brand categories into an annual business plan.

The customer’s to be managed in the division are Modern Trade and Traditional Trade organization ,are pre-determined and classified as supermarkets or minimarkets, grocery shops etc .

The person holding this role will need to successfully manage a dedicated sales team and a number of indirect cross functional reports.

It is through working with this team that the Business Head will manage the plans and activities designed to ensure that the Business Unit achieve the stated objectives across all business categories.

The person holding this position will be responsible and accountable to the General Manager for all aspects of both the business and people development necessary to sustain the business in the medium to longer term and will be expected to report on business progress towards the stated objectives together with recommendations of how to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the operation.

• Prepare annual budgets covering detailed volume estimates, headcount allocation, expenses on overheads, capital expenditure projections etc.
• Conduct periodic reviews of performance against plan and re-establish forecasts.
• Manage negotiations with principals on core issues like gross margins, pricing structure, advertising and promotional expenses.
• Directly responsible for controlling inventory through hands-on forecasting and ordering keeping in mind lead times variances, stock holding, payment terms etc.
• Identify and obtain relevant new business to drive organizational growth
• Develop strategic customer-specific category plans focusing on the areas of category assessment, product rationalization, and promotion analysis.
• Establish and implement relevant organization structure; recruitment of staff, overseeing their training and development and authorizing promotion or termination of staff
• Conduct regular team meetings to ensure that the sales team is continuously updated on progress against plan, set period objectives, obtain feedback and communicate / Cascade Company highlights
• Building relationships with Business Partners at the highest possible level.
• Full profit responsibility of the Division as an independent profit centre
