Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Abdulla Al Arif Holding LLC is seeking a skilled Formwork Design Engineer to design, review, and support formwork and temporary works solutions for construction projects. The role involves developing safe, efficient, and cost-effective formwork designs, coordinating with site teams, and ensuring compliance with engineering standards and project requirements. Key Responsibilities Design & Engineering

  • Prepare formwork and falsework designs for concrete structures (slabs, beams, columns, walls, cores).

  • Develop detailed formwork drawings, calculations, and material take-offs.

  • Ensure designs comply with project specifications, codes, safety standards, and load requirements.

  • Review subcontractor formwork designs and provide technical approvals or comments.

    Site & Technical Support

  • Provide technical support to site teams during erection, pouring, stripping, and dismantling activities.

  • Resolve formwork-related technical issues and propose safe, practical solutions.

  • Conduct site visits to verify implementation of approved designs.

    Coordination & Compliance

  • Coordinate with structural, construction, and planning teams to optimize formwork systems.

  • Support procurement teams by providing technical input for formwork systems and materials.

  • Ensure compliance with HSE requirements for temporary works.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.

  • 3–8 years of experience in formwork design or temporary works engineering.

  • Experience in UAE/GCC projects is an advantage.
