Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Designing and executing detailed test cases based on functional specifications to ensure software applications meet user requirements.
- Collaborating with developers and product managers to clarify requirements and identify potential areas of risk in the software lifecycle.
- Performing regression testing to confirm that new code changes do not adversely affect existing functionality.
- Documenting test results meticulously and reporting defects using tracking tools to facilitate effective communication within the team.
- Participating in code reviews and design discussions to provide input from a testing perspective and ensure quality is integrated from the start.
- Automating repetitive test cases using scripting languages and automation tools to enhance testing efficiency and coverage.
- Conducting performance and load testing to evaluate application responsiveness under varying user loads and optimize performance.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred for foundational knowledge.
- Experience in agile development environments, showcasing adaptability and collaboration in fast-paced settings.
- Proficiency in test management tools like JIRA or TestRail to streamline test case management and defect tracking.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, enabling effective identification and resolution of issues during testing.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to articulate testing findings and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
