Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Carry out day-to-day maintenance and repairs across guestrooms, public areas, kitchens, laundry, and back-of-house ensuring safety, reliability, and brand-standard presentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend CMMS work orders and PPM schedules for rooms and plant areas; close jobs with clear remarks and parts usage.
- Perform minor MEP tasks: lamping, sockets/switches, small leaks, drain clearing, sealant/silicone, hinge/lock/handle fixes.
- Basic HVAC support: FCU filter cleaning, drain flushing, thermostat checks, simple belt/coil cleaning as assigned.
- Carpentry/finishing: touch-up painting, patching, skirting/hinge alignment, laminate/veneer fixes.
- Support kitchen & laundry equipment checks (visual/cleaning) and escalate to specialists when needed.
- Set up and strike event items (stages, backdrops); assist with safe lifting and trolley use.
- Follow HSE/PPE, lock-out/tag-out, and electrical safety; maintain tidy workshops and stores.
- Report recurring faults, spare-parts needs, and hazards to the Supervisor/Engineer.
Desired Candidate Profile
2+ years general maintenance experience in hotels/facilities or commercial buildings.
- Working knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and finishing works.
- Able to read simple drawings and use hand/power tools safely.
- Physically fit; comfortable with ladders/heights and safe manual handling.
- Basic English for work orders, safety briefings, and handovers.
- Flexibility for shifts, emergencies, weekends, and public holidays.
- Trade certificate/diploma in Electrical/Mechanical/Civil is an advantage.
