Serve as a primary link between field digitalization, field and well monitoring, gathering of reservoir engineering, drilling and field operation data to maintain effective and controlled data management and meet the required data management objectives .
Liaise with field personnel to identify and address well integrity and other operating issues .
Provide assistance in data analysis and input for reservoir modeling and simulation projects.
Reporting Prepare reports in support of department activities.
Generate frequent reports using Tableau or other internal reporting systems to senior engineers and RDM on production data findings, recommendations and trends.
Provide technical evaluations and recommendations regarding surface and downhole equipment and suppliers, considering such factors as field service capacity, quality control and service availability.
Coaching and mentoring actively contribute to the development of staff.
Support development of more junior staff in meeting needs for employee training, development and skill gap closure.
Coach junior employees in order to build their skills.
Mentor junior staff to ensure appropriate succession management.
Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Engineering or Pure or Applied Science. Preferred MSc or MA in Petroleum Engineering, Civil, Mining, Structural Geology, or Geophysics.
Qualifications:
The Reservoir Geomechanics Engineer is a key technical contributor working in the areas of Geomechanics with an intermediate to advanced understanding of Geophysics, Petrophysics or Geology. The Reservoir Geomechanics Engineer uses this knowledge to describe time-dependent changes in earth stresses and mechanical properties for a reservoir, field, or basin to deliver practical, cost-effective solutions to geomechanical problems related to changes in reservoir pressure.
Operational Geomechanics Principal Accountability for various assets within the Dragon Oil portfolio to achieve objectives consistent with department and corporate goals.
Advise on subsurface aspects of drilling risk
Experienced clastic & carbonate rock geological environment & associated geomechanical modelling.
Lead well planning risk reviews
Complete detailed offset well reviews and construct detailed 1D & 3D Geomechanical models for trajectory planning
Detailed post drill 1D geomechanical analysis to understand the geomechanical risk associated with Drilling & completion.
Geological risk management and creation of mitigation plans for drilling activities Proposing cost-effective or improved quality alternatives for data acquisition
Geological data management.
Support and guidance to Operations / wellsite Geologists
Monitor & support, "Real Time Drilling Geomechanics"
Support subsurface team on well correlation, basic petrophysics & well correlation.
Advising on rock core sampling & HRA analysis
Reviewing rock mechanical core test results & suggestions.
Operational Support engineering and operations staff in implementing field digitalization and field development planning
Serve as a primary link between field digitalization, field and well monitoring, gathering of reservoir engineering, drilling and field operation data to maintain effective and controlled data management and meet the required data management objectives .
Liaise with field personnel to identify and address well integrity and other operating issues .

Control Policy, procedure and risk mitigation
Ensure that field performance and production targets are achieved safely and efficiently in accordance with company HSE policy and oil and gas industry best practices.
Maintain compliance with Dragon Oil guidelines and requirements regarding the gathering, quality control, maintenance, storage and retrieval of technical data.
Ensure compliance with and proper application of company procedures and internal regulations, including those pertaining to confidential information, and recommend updates as needed.
Research applied technologies and recommend new technologies to efficiency of production.
Ensure control and monitoring of data management both input/output.
Define and evaluate data transition whilst providing ongoing database support to engineering and operations staff.
