Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on various golf cart models, utilizing diagnostic tools and schematics to pinpoint problems accurately.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including, brake inspections, tire rotations, and battery servicing, to ensure optimal cart performance and longevity.
- Conduct thorough inspections of golf carts, identifying potential safety hazards and recommending necessary repairs to maintain a safe operating environment.
- Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical systems, including lighting, charging systems, and motor controllers, with precision and attention to detail.
- Rebuild or replace engine components, such as carburetors, starters, and alternators, ensuring proper functionality and adherence to manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of all repairs, maintenance performed, and parts used, creating detailed service reports for each golf cart.
- Test and adjust cart performance, including speed, acceleration, and braking, ensuring optimal operation and adherence to safety standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with customers, explaining repairs, and answering questions in a professional and friendly manner.
Desired Candidate Profile
- High school diploma or equivalent is required, with additional vocational training or certification in automotive mechanics being a plus.
- A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in automotive repair or golf cart maintenance is preferred, showcasing hands-on expertise.
- Experience with both gas and electric golf cart systems is advantageous, highlighting versatility in troubleshooting.
- Strong proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment, such as multimeters and scan tools, is essential for accurate diagnostics.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary for interacting with customers and colleagues.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions are required.
