Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Accurately measure, cut, and install gypsum board to walls, ceilings, and partitions, ensuring precise fits and minimal waste.
- Apply joint compound, tape, and finish gypsum board seams, creating smooth and seamless surfaces ready for painting or other finishes.
- Interpret blueprints and construction plans to determine the layout and specifications for gypsum board installation.
- Build and install metal or wood framing for gypsum board, ensuring structural integrity and adherence to building codes.
Desired Candidate Profile
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred, demonstrating basic literacy and numeracy.
- Possession of a Journeyman or equivalent certification in drywall installation is highly desirable, showing proven expertise.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in gypsum board installation in the construction industry is required, showcasing practical knowledge.
- Demonstrated proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and construction plans, indicating understanding of design.
