The Head of Business Continuity will have a passion for impactful global business resilience planning along with a desire to relentlessly champion best practices in a high-volume, dynamic environment. As the Head of Business Continuity, the individual shall manage day-to-day execution of the Business Continuity programs across the organization. These activities include, but are not limited to:
• Business Impact Analysis
• Business Continuity Planning
• Disaster Recovery
• Operational Risk Management
The Business Continuity Manager will drive sustainable, repeatable and quantifiable improvements to these processes aimed at resilience and risk reduction. The primary responsibilities will be to enhance and/or develop and implement policies and procedures for effective Business Continuity programs; ensure documentation of processes are in place and are accurate; communicate requirements and lead projects to implement policies, procedures, and controls, as necessary; and perform periodic program reviews. Responsibilities include: Business Continuity
• Work with multiple business lines across the organisation to ensure effective understanding of Business Continuity Plans and Disaster Recovery strategies
• Manage the Business Continuity Management program including both Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery
• Meet with senior management to conduct Business Impact Analyses
• Work with various departments to develop and maintain up-to-date Business Continuity plans using a risk based approach
• Build and scale a technology Disaster Recovery program
• Develop and conduct training and exercises for both Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery
• Serve as a point of contact for any identified resilience issues and risks within the business
• Provide management, leadership, and direction to build, maintain and enhance resilience practices
• Assume a leadership role to understand dependencies in the business and incorporate them into Business Continuity plans
• Be accountable for identification, understanding, management, mitigation, and remediation of continuity risks and issues assigned to the organization globally
• Communicate with senior executives on plan status including significant enhancements or issues that could impact continuity planning
Skills and Experience
• Experience in Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery, with at least 3 years if directly managing a Business Continuity program
• Experience with global Business Continuity standards and frameworks
• Ability to analyze, communicate, articulate Business Continuity governance and compliance trends and program requirements
• Excellent written and verbal communication, critical thinking skills, effective interpersonal skills, strong formal presentation abilities, and strong project management experience
