• Manage end to end accounting operations .
• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
• Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
• Support month-end and year-end close process.
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
• Manage and comply with local, state, and government reporting requirements .
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Do additional controller duties as necessary.
• Motivate and lead finance team members by clarifying roles and providing helpful feedback.
• Suggest updates and improvements for accounting systems, including billing and invoicing.
• Establish and implement financial reporting systems to comply with controls requirements.
• Examine all financial reports and data closely to check for discrepancies.
• Create systems to prevent errors in data collection and calculations.
• Report to management with timely and accurate financial information
• Define business financial operations requirements, goals, and identify & resolve issues.
• Improve the business processes and operations and developing new financial systems enhancements
• Review and analyze pre-existing financial systems for its effectiveness and develop new strategies to improve or further leverage the company financial system.
• Develop better financial reporting systems, DWH and modeling tools, and dashboards.
• Identify and establish parameters and scope of systems analysis so that defining the outcome criteria and measure-taking actions will be easier for the organization.
• Aid the management in making implementation decisions by creating analysis for cost-benefit and return on investment.
• Meet with system owners, decision makers, and end users to define the business financial operations requirements, goals, and identify and resolve issues.
People Management:
• Interview and select direct reports and validate hiring decisions for the department.
• Provide coaching and needed training for direct reports ensuring continuous individual development.
• Ensure a healthy working environment for assigned employees through focusing on team building and motivation initiatives.
• Conduct regular performance and competency evaluations for direct reports while delivering constant constructive feedback for higher achievements and further development.

Desired Candidate Profile

about you
• Bachelor's degree or master's degree in accounting.
• CPA or CMA, CFA preferred.
• Advanced degree in Accounting
• Minimum 10 Years, 5 of which in combined accounting and finance and in a management role
• Working experience as a financial controller and experience in creating financial statements
• Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
• Technical experience of ERP and finance models is a must
• Strong knowledge of telecom industry systems architecture including billing and DWH.
