Head of IT (UAE National)
Mark Williams are currently recruiting a UAE National Head of IT for a Sharia compliant private financial company in Dubai.
To set the vision and direct the successful implementation of the IT Strategy for the company by leading, directing and managing the IT Department to meet the needs of the Core Business and support both external and internal customer needs, while maintaining an exceptional customer service through adhering to the highest standards of operations and maintenance of their information and technology systems
Develop the department s short and long term strategy and direct the reporting divisions towards accurate and timely implementation.
Set the department s goals and objectives and ensure the cascading of such to reporting employees, and guide their achievement.
Develop and implement the annual departmental budget in line with the overall company budget and ensure adherence thereof.
Establish the department s policies, procedures and processes and ensure adherence and implementation.
Ensure the ongoing development of the department s employees, and guide the developmental activities of direct and indirect reports.
Identify the human resources requirements of the department and provide recommendations on levels of rewards, promotions, transfers and career progressions for the function s employees.
Oversee allocation/ distribution of IT resources for adequate provisioning of IT support services for their operations.
Oversee the acquisition and management of relevant and up-to-date IT Infrastructure (hardware and software) to support the operations and activities.
Oversee the development and enforcement of IT standards, policies and procedures that ensure confidentiality, integrity, availability and security of corporate data and information.
Oversee the adherence of IT to Legal, Statutory, Information Security and Regulatory requirements.
Oversee the development and implementation of adequate IT risk management strategies, controls and the respective mitigation processes.
Periodically review IT performance against targets, analyse the cause of any deviations, and initiate remedial action to address the underlying causes while maintaining the group s IT vision, strategy, plans and IT governance framework.
Continually review and assess the effectiveness and efficiency of the department and identify improvement opportunities
Optimize the IT resources through implementation of latest technologies and processes.
Oversee the implementation of quality standards while delivering the service / projects to IT Customers.
Liaise with executive management for strategic IT issues and serve as an active member of the IT steering committee. Build and manage appropriate business relationship with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
Submit periodic management reports on performance and activities of the department
UAE National with Family Book
MBA or equivalent post-graduate qualification from an recognized institute
Minimum of 12 years experience of related IT experience especially in Core Banking Applications, ERP, CRM and Infrastructure management, with minimum 6 years of management experience
Core banking experience is highly desirable
