Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Role Overview
Lead the mechanical (static) scope for LPG and condensate storage tanks and solid sulphur handling in a major onshore development. Provide discipline leadership and technical oversight to FEED/EPC contractors to ensure all mechanical deliverables, standards, and interfaces meet project requirements, codes, and schedule. Drive SHES leadership, design/constructability/3D model reviews, and close-out of comments to support safe, timely, compliant execution.

Requirements / Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
10+ years in engineering roles (minimum 6 years in Oil & Gas) with at least 2 years in a supervisory or contractor oversight capacity.
Experience across project phases: planning, scheduling, cost control, risk/change/interface management, commissioning and handover.
Strong knowledge of international standards and execution methodologies; proven risk assessment and continuous improvement mindset.
Proven design experience in pressure vessels, heat exchangers, columns, and storage tanks; familiarity with ASME, API, TEMA and relevant software.
Fluent English; strong analytical, coordination, planning, and communication skills; proficient in MS Office.

Key Responsibilities
- Champion SHES culture; participate in toolbox talks, task instructions, and site walkdowns.
- Ensure contractor mechanical activities comply with regulations, codes/standards, specifications, and industry practices.
- Review mechanical datasheets and discipline documents; identify risks and propose mitigations.
- Plan and track close-out of design review comments across FEED and Detailed Design.
- Oversee contractor discipline resources to meet schedule and quality targets.
- Lead/participate in plot plan/layouts, constructability reviews, and 3D model reviews.
- Capture and embed lessons learned from brownfield and existing plant sections.
- Monitor contractor progress; ensure timely issuance of MDR and discipline deliverables.
- Support spares identification/quantification for static equipment.
- Contribute to change management (deviations/COs), risk management, and technical position papers.
