Advanced Watertek LLC is looking to hire an experienced Head of Sales to lead our Sales department. We need a self-motivated professional with prior managerial experience and a proven track record in sales. In this position, you will be responsible for leading our Sales department and meeting our annual sales targets within the assigned regions / accounts.

This is a management position responsible for a team of sales personnel and will be called upon to close complex and high-value commercial deals in a time-bound manner. As such, the role requires the highest levels of integrity, diplomacy, influencing skills, decision-making abilities and honed sales techniques.


Sales / Business Development

Desired Candidate Profile

The selected candidate will be accountable for the following Strategic, Operational and People-related activities -

STRATEGIC -

1. Leadership and Supervision

• Provide leadership and direction to the Sales department
• Work with key stakeholders in the business to identify long and short term objectives
• Create and implement Sales action plans incorporating key actions that work to set KPIs for the business
• Devise sales strategies that further the department’s agenda and drive revenue generation for the business
• Monitor and analyze sales performance to identify and rectify gaps


2. Systems and Processes

• Prepare Sales and CRM processes and systems to meet the business requirements
• Develop and promote weekly, monthly and quarterly sales objectives
• Enable Sales improvement tools to generate consistent and appropriate estimates and quotations
• Implement an effective sales forecasting system to minimize the effect of peaks and troughs
• Formulate and set up effective customer care and client relationship strategies to maintain customer loyalty


3. Business Development

• Achieve Revenue / Sales targets. Plan and execute development of the company’s business in new markets (local & international) and customer segments
• Win new customers and expand business into new segments and markets
• Identify and appoint agents and partners globally, closing out agency agreements in line with company policies
• Monitor and report competitor activity on a regular basis
• Support the Sales team in establishing strong relationships with potential clients and convert qualified leads into business opportunities consistently


OPERATIONAL -

1. Reporting

• Generate regular reports on Sales performance and analyze results against the management’s expectations, prior years’ performance or industry and market benchmarks
• Analyze data, identify trends, opportunities, weaknesses and areas for improvement and develop actions to meet the challenges


2. Other Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal teams to help develop new product and service offerings, in line with market demands and requirements
• Work with the Engineering and Marketing teams to ensure that the equipment and services are priced appropriately
• Provide assistance & support to other areas of business as requested
• Perform any other job/s entrusted by the management from time to time


PEOPLE -

1. People Management

• Organize, direct and supervise the activities and work of team members to ensure that all work is completed to the required standards and in line with the operating policies and procedures of the company
• Provide on-the-job training and constructive feedback to subordinates to support their overall development
• Manage department staff and teams by overseeing their performance and new staff recruitment, ensuring high levels of engagement and competence
• Set/agree to stretched performance management goals for self and the department



QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

• 15 years of progressive experience in Sales within the Water Treatment industry, with at least 5-6 years in a supervisory / managerial position, responsible for leading and driving a sales team
• A successful and proven track record, with the ability to lead and manage a team of Sales professionals to achieve the business goals. Capability to develop and implement sales objectives, KPIs and measure / monitor sales performance
• University Degree in any relevant discipline
• Post-Graduate degree is desired, but not mandatory
• Solid understanding of the technical aspects of the product offering with the experience of selling complex engineering products or solutions
• Well-rounded exposure and knowledge of the industry globally. An international exposure and outlook is essential
• Experience in contributing to the development of a business strategy / plan and converting it into tangible revenue
