Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the overall planning strategy aligned with organizational goals, ensuring long-term success and market adaptability.
  • Lead and mentor a team of planning professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment that drives innovation and efficiency.
  • Oversee the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing accurate financial projections and strategic resource allocation plans to stakeholders.
  • Manage the end-to-end planning cycle, including demand forecasting, production scheduling, and inventory management, optimizing supply chain performance.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and internal data to identify opportunities and risks, informing strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as sales, marketing, and operations, to align planning initiatives and ensure seamless execution.
  • Establish and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor planning effectiveness, providing regular reports and actionable insights.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the planning function, leveraging technology and best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards, mitigating risks and maintaining operational integrity.
  • Communicate planning strategies and performance updates to senior management, providing clear and concise information for informed decision-making.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
  • Holds relevant certifications such as APICS CPIM or CSCP, demonstrating a strong understanding of supply chain principles.
  • Demonstrates a minimum of 10 years of experience in planning, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a manufacturing or retail environment.
  • Exhibits a deep understanding of industry best practices, including demand planning, inventory optimization, and supply chain management.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), planning software, and data analysis tools is essential for effective performance.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills to motivate and guide a team while effectively communicating with stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to think strategically and address challenges proactively.
  • Exhibits adaptability and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Possesses excellent interpersonal skills, enabling collaboration and building strong relationships with cross-functional teams.
