Roles & Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on a variety of heavy vehicles and equipment, utilizing diagnostic tools and procedures to pinpoint the root cause.
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication, adhering to strict maintenance schedules and manufacturer specifications to optimize equipment lifespan.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles and equipment, identifying and reporting any safety hazards or potential problems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and promoting a safe work environment.
  • Repair or replace defective parts, components, and systems, such as engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems, utilizing specialized tools and equipment to restore functionality.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent; a diploma or certificate in heavy vehicle/equipment mechanics is highly preferred.
  • Hold relevant certifications, such as those from the Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) or other industry-recognized bodies, demonstrating professional competence.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in the repair and maintenance of heavy vehicles and equipment, showcasing a strong foundation of practical knowledge.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in diagnosing and repairing a wide range of heavy vehicle and equipment types, including trucks, construction equipment, and agricultural machinery.
