Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Operate waste collection vehicles (garbage trucks, compactors, dump trucks, etc.) in a safe and professional manner.
  • Follow assigned waste collection routes and schedules across designated areas.
  • Ensure proper collection, transportation, and disposal of waste in compliance with municipal and environmental regulations.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, checking fuel, oil, brakes, and overall vehicle condition.
  • Report any vehicle malfunctions, maintenance needs, or route issues to the supervisor.
  • Assist waste collection workers in loading and unloading waste if required.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the vehicle at all times.
  • Adhere to all UAE road safety laws and company policies regarding waste handling and transportation.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily trips, fuel usage, and waste disposal activities.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Valid UAE heavy vehicle driving license (Category 4 or 5).
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a waste collection or heavy vehicle driver.
  • Good knowledge of UAE roads, routes, and traffic regulations.
  • Experience in waste management or municipal services is an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Physically fit and capable of handling demanding work conditions.
  • Strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and teamwork.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including early mornings, weekends, and public holidays.
