Since 2012, ACF has been operational Yemen: Hodeida and Aden governorates. As of today, ACF Yemen is operational in Hodeida, Aden, Hajjah and Al Khokha Governorates and is working on the expansion of its response in the North and South.
ACF has been implementing its humanitarian response in Yemen addressing N&H, WASH, MHCP, FSL and Emergency/RRM.
As of January 2019, ACF s team is running operations of approximatively 14 million EUR coming from different institutional donors and internal ACF funds and is strongly involved in the coordination mechanisms.
ACF Yemen is a large mission with a relatively high number of international (around 25) and national (around 280) staffs based in Sanaa, Hodeidah, Hajjah, Aden, Amman and Djibouti.
In Yemen, the security situation is volatile: active frontlines in Hodeidah and Hajjah Governorates; articulated political situation in Aden and an social and economical degradation in the whole country. It is still a very a high risk, deep field situation with highest level of security at all times.
Working conditions will be dynamic and demanding. Guesthouse in Amman is comfortable and social gatherings are possible on regular basis.
Under the supervision of the Deputy Country Director, you will be mentoring the newly appointed HR Head of Department in the framework of the nationalization process. More precisely, you will be in charge of:
Main responsabilities
- Mentoring the Deputy HR HoD by organising the learning process and the competencies transfer
and following the competency gap and action plan defined
- Contributing to the recruitment follow up of international employees
- Supporting the HR Department punctually on operational activities

Do you fit the requested profile ?
You hold a Degree in Human Resources, Administration, Humanitarian action or similar field. You have an experience in HR in the field and more specificly in emergency and insecure contexts. First experience with ACF as HR Head of Department and / or mentoring is an asset. You are open minded and flexible, hold a strategic and critical thinking. Your ability to transfer knowledge and build the capacity of team members is well recognized.
English fluency, Microsoft tools knowledge are compulsory
Arabic is an asset so is SAGARH, Homere.
Specific conditions / Salary
Monthly gross salary from 1805 to 2305 upon experience.
Per diem and living allowance: 600 (cf eurocost) net, field paid.
+ 16% of monthly gross salary as reimbursement of retirement insurance for non-French citizen.
+ Child allowance, limited to 5 children
