Job Objective:
Manage all recruitment and employee development activities including but not limited to training, career development, performance management and employee related services for the entity's employees and ensure the provision of quality HR support.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and coordinate the Human Resource function, resources and strategies and ensure these functions are executed efficiently, accurately and in a timely manner;
• Monitor and review the strategic performance of the human resources department ensuring strategic alignment with the strategic direction of support services division and the entity.
• Initiate pro-active analysis and advice on key strategic areas relative to the Human Resources department;
• Develop performance improvement initiatives for the human resources department, recommend changes when seen necessary and ensure that corrective action plans and strategic initiatives are identified and implemented accordingly;
• Develop and prioritize the human resources department plans that are capable of meeting the needs of the entity's future;
• Report on the overall performance of the human resources department to the Director of Support Services
• Review and evaluate the work of staff under supervision, ensure that programs are of appropriate quality and that resources are used effectively and comply with the entity's policies and procedures;
• Support Learning by ensuring proper knowledge transfer and knowledge management for others;
• Organize, create, and distribute know and ensure its availability for the team and future joiners;
• Define criteria for access provisioning, revocation, and access terminations. Provide appropriate authorization of business access to information, information systems and applications used in delivering business processes;
• Assess business environment for risks, and maintain appropriate records;
• Ensure availability of required resources to carry out all tasks related to the HR department functions and ensure effective utilization of staff
• Perform periodic performance appraisals of the team within the HR department;
• Ensure that all staff acquire the required skills and knowledge through appropriate training programs;
• Develop, review and update policies and procedures for various functions within the HR department and ensure adherence;
• Management, review and supervise recruitment related activities such as developing recruitment plans, according to approved nationalization plans, targets and procedures.
