• Ability to prepare clear, practical and to the point HSE Documents, programs and procedures as per the client requirement including but not limited to HSE MS, Operational procedures, Systems procedures, SMART Program, Job Safety Analysis, Permit to Work System, Lock-Out/Tag-Out System, Hazardous Chemical-MSDS, PPE System, Lifting Equipment Management System, Benchmarking etc. for Al Baraka Oilfield Services SAOC (BOS).
• Responsible for preparing required documentations for Obtaining ISO (International Standards Organization) and OPAL (Oman Society for Petroleum Services) accreditation/ renewal for Al-Baraka Oilfield Services
•Responsible for field level implementation of health, safety and environmental policies, procedures and guidelines.
•Working in support of the Site Manager in executing corporate quality objectives and directives.
•Interfaces with Corporate HSE, Client/ PDO personnel and our employees working in the site on Company’s projects.
•Act as the Focal Point for the Operating location on HSE matters e.g., HSE Audits, Behavioural Safety, Incident Investigations and follow up.
•Responsible for risk identification and management; incident reporting, investigation and control, various compliance activities and implementation of various aspects of management systems in all areas of HSE.
•Attend and participate in weekly HSE Meetings.
•Conduct inspections and assessments as per the HSE Plan.
•Compile and generate detailed reports and spreadsheets on the HSE standards
•Coordinate with the company sites, on HSE issues and concerns and ensure the all company operations comply with HSE requirements.
•Consult advice and direct Operations in matters relating to HSE matters.
•Participate in Regulatory and Internal HSE audits.
•Conduct Internal Audits and report findings to management; Assist company auditors during audits in the rig
•Monitor close-out of action items identified during internal audits.
•Conduct follow-up audits to monitor close-out of items identified during internal audit
•Execution of audits and follow up on corrective and preventive actions
•Communicate relevant HSE initiates, Government legislatives and HSE lateral learning’s to the Company employees in the site in order to raise awareness, encourage continuous learning and behavioural changes.
•Support the Contract Line management on HSE and foster a Team spirit that ‘Everyone watches out for each other’.
•Facilitate HSE competence development and learning to ensure personnel are appropriately equipped to work in the specific Project teams assigned

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualification & Experience:

• Degree or NEBOSH (National Educational Board of Occupational Safety & Health) Certificate / Diploma or British Safety Council International Diploma in Safety Management or equivalent HSE qualifications.
• Minimum 4 Year of Experience in HSE Field.

Competencies/ Skills :

• Sound knowledge of HSE fundamentals
• Knowledge of development and implementation of Company HSE programs, policies, procedures and processes, as well as working knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements.
• Planning, co-ordination & negotiation skills
• Oral and written communication skills as well as organizational abilities.
• Right Attitude and demonstrable track record of effective teamwork & motivation
• Ability to conduct root cause analysis
