Job Title: HSE Site Engineer - Construction and Architecture Design

Work/Site Location: Abu Dhabi
Employment Type: Full-Time
Reports To: HSE Manager / Project Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HSE Site Engineer to oversee health, safety, and environmental compliance on our construction and architecture design project sites. The HSE Site Engineer will ensure that all site activities are conducted safely, in compliance with regulations, and with minimal environmental impact. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HSE practices within the construction industry and the ability to implement effective safety measures on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

HSE Implementation on Site:Monitor and enforce compliance with HSE policies, procedures, and regulations on construction sites.
Conduct daily safety inspections and hazard assessments to ensure a safe working environment.
Risk Management:Identify potential safety and environmental risks on-site and implement corrective actions.
Develop and implement site-specific risk mitigation plans.
Training and Awareness:Conduct safety inductions and toolbox talks for all site personnel, contractors, and visitors.
Promote HSE awareness through regular communication and training programs.
Incident Management:Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and prepare detailed reports with recommendations for prevention.
Ensure timely reporting of incidents to management and regulatory authorities.
Environmental Compliance:Monitor environmental controls on-site, including waste management, pollution prevention, and resource conservation.
Ensure compliance with environmental permits and regulations.
Documentation and Reporting:Maintain accurate HSE records, including inspection reports, incident logs, and training documentation.
Prepare and submit regular HSE reports to management and regulatory bodies as required.
Collaboration:Work closely with site managers, engineers, and contractors to address HSE concerns and ensure compliance.
Liaise with third-party inspectors and regulatory authorities during site audits and inspections.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
Professional certifications in HSE (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, IOSH, or equivalent) are highly desirable.

Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and best practices.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to work on construction sites, including climbing ladders, walking on uneven surfaces, and working in various weather conditions.
