Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Implement and monitor the project-specific HSE plan in alignment with client and regulatory requirements

Conduct daily site inspections, risk assessments, and toolbox talks to ensure safe work practices

Supervise compliance with permit-to-work systems, lockout/tagout procedures, and confined space protocols

Investigate and report incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, recommending corrective actions

Coordinate with construction teams, subcontractors, and site management to enforce safety standards

Maintain accurate records of HSE audits, training sessions, and incident logs

Ensure proper use of PPE, emergency equipment, and first aid resources

Promote a culture of safety awareness, environmental stewardship, and continuous improvement

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of UAE labor laws, and environmental compliance
  • Familiarity with electrical substation hazards (work in live substation), heavy equipment safety, and construction site protocols
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently and make quick, informed decisions in field conditions
  • Resilience and adaptability to remote site environments
  • Commitment to zero-incident culture and proactive risk management

Desired Candidate Profile

Education: Diploma or Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or related field

Certifications such as NEBOSH, OSHA, or IOSH are highly preferred

Experience: 2 5 years in HSE roles within construction or industrial projects

Language: Proficiency in English

Mobility: Willingness to work in remote site locations for extended periods during construction
