Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily HSE inspections across shipyard work areas, including dry docks, workshops, and onboard vessels.
  • Monitor activities to ensure compliance with company PTW implementation, HSE policies, local regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Identify unsafe conditions, unsafe acts, and potential hazards;recommend corrective and preventive actions.
  • Assist in incident/near-miss reporting, investigation, and documentation.
  • Participate in toolbox talks, safety drills, and awareness sessions.
  • Ensure proper use of PPE and safe work procedures by all personnel on-site.
  • Support implementation of risk assessments, method statements, and permit-to-work systems.
  • Prepare inspection reports and maintain accurate HSE records.
  • Coordinate with supervisors, contractors, and workers to reinforce safety culture and improve site safety performance.
  • Daily monitor and maintain the LSA- Life saving Appliance and FFE – Fire Fighting Equipment
  • Act as a part of Emergency Response Team.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BE) in Engineering is mandatory.
  • NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) mandatory.

Experience

  • Up to 1 year of relevant experience, preferably in shipyard, marine, or heavy industrial environments.

Skills & Competencies

  • Good communication skills in English (verbal and written).
  • Strong observation, reporting, and documentation abilities.
  • Basic understanding of HSE regulations, risk assessment, and safety management systems.
  • Ability to work predominantly on-site (90% field-based work).
  • Physically fit and able to navigate shipyard environments.
  • Team player with a proactive and safety-focused mindset.
