Job Description

An HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) Manager is a crucial member of any organization, responsible for overseeing and ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation, as well as promoting a culture of safety in the workplace. The role entails developing and implementing policies, procedures, and training programs to ensure a safe working environment. The HSE Manager works collaboratively with all departments to identify potential hazards and implement preventive measures. This position requires strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of industry standards and regulations to mitigate workplace risks and ensure operational efficiency. The HSE Manager plays a pivotal role in safeguarding the health and well-being of employees and maintaining the organization s commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable practices.


Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Lead incident investigations, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with team leaders to create and enforce safety plans across all departments.
  • Organize and deliver training programs on safety protocols and emergency response.
  • Evaluate existing policies and update or change them to improve safety outcomes.
  • Maintain and analyze detailed records of safety inspections, incidents, and corrective measures.
  • Facilitate health and safety meetings, promoting dialogue and awareness among staff.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation and industry standards.
  • Promote a culture of environmental responsibility and sustainability within the organization.
  • Perform risk assessments, identifying potential hazards and designing mitigation strategies.
  • Act as a point of contact for all safety-related matters within the organization.

Requirements
  • Bachelor s degree in occupational health, safety, environmental science, or a related field.
  • At least five years of experience in health, safety, and environment management roles.
  • Extensive knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
  • Proven leadership and managerial skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in safety audits and incident investigations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with all departments effectively.
  • Certification in health and safety management, such as NEBOSH or OSHA, is preferred.
