Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive HSE policies and procedures tailored to the specific needs of the organization.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with local and international regulations.
  • Lead incident investigations to determine root causes and implement corrective actions, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate and deliver HSE training programs for employees at all levels, emphasizing practical skills and compliance knowledge.
  • Monitor and analyze HSE performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement, reporting findings to senior management.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies, ensuring timely responses and adherence to all safety regulations.
  • Facilitate regular safety meetings and workshops to encourage open communication and engagement among employees regarding HSE matters.
  • Develop emergency response plans and conduct drills to prepare the workforce for potential incidents, ensuring readiness and safety.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in HSE to continuously drive innovation within the organization.
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure that HSE considerations are integrated into project planning and execution.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of HSE management experience in construction, manufacturing, or oil and gas industries.
  • Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent recognized safety certifications.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English; additional language skills are a plus for multinational environments.
  • Strong understanding of local and international HSE regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proven track record of successful implementation of HSE programs and initiatives across multiple projects.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools for performance tracking.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities to inspire and motivate teams towards achieving high safety standards.
