Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement project-specific HSE plans, procedures, and programs aligned with EPC project requirements and international standards to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify hazards, assess risks, and ensure compliance with HSE regulations and company policies, focusing on proactive hazard identification.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, determining root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence, emphasizing thoroughness and detail.
  • Provide HSE training and awareness programs to all project personnel, promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring competency in safe work practices, focusing on engaging delivery.
  • Manage and maintain HSE records, documentation, and reporting systems, ensuring accuracy and timely submission of required reports, emphasizing data integrity.
  • Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and subcontractors to integrate HSE into all project activities, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of HSE programs and initiatives, making recommendations for improvement and ensuring continuous improvement efforts.
  • Ensure the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and other safety equipment, conducting regular inspections and maintenance to ensure effectiveness.
  • Manage emergency response plans and procedures, conducting drills and exercises to ensure preparedness and effective response in case of emergencies.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant HSE regulations, standards, and best practices, ensuring compliance and proactively adapting to changes.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Holds relevant certifications such as NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent, demonstrating recognized competence in HSE management.
  • Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field to establish a strong foundational knowledge base.
  • Demonstrates a minimum of 5 years of experience in HSE roles within the EPC construction industry, showcasing practical application of HSE principles.
  • Exhibits a deep understanding of EPC project phases and construction methodologies, enabling effective integration of HSE practices.
  • Possesses strong knowledge of international HSE standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 45001, OHSAS , ensuring compliance and best practices.
  • Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of identifying hazards, assessing risks, and implementing effective solutions.
  • Displays excellent communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating effective interaction with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Possesses the ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Exhibits proficiency in using HSE software and tools for data management, reporting, and analysis, enhancing efficiency and accuracy.
  • Demonstrates a proactive and results-oriented approach, with a commitment to continuous improvement in HSE performance.
