Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive safety plans tailored to infrastructure projects, with a focus on road detours.
    • Conduct regular inspections of drainage and sewerage systems to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Develop and implement safety programs and procedures specifically tailored to drainage and sewerage operations, addressing confined space entry, excavation, and chemical handling.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, determining root causes and recommending corrective actions to prevent recurrence within the drainage and sewerage context.
  • Provide comprehensive safety training to personnel involved in drainage and sewerage activities, focusing on relevant hazards and safe work practices.
  • Oversee the safe handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials associated with drainage and sewerage maintenance and treatment processes.
  • Collaborate with project managers and contractors to integrate safety considerations into drainage and sewerage project planning and execution.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and hazard analyses for construction sites and detour routes.
    • Ensure all safety procedures comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
    • Conduct safety training sessions for all project personnel.
    • Develop and distribute educational materials related to safety protocols and best practices.
    • Perform regular safety inspections and audits on construction sites.
    • Investigate accidents and incidents to determine causes and implement preventive measures.

Desired Candidate Profile


  • Holds a relevant safety certification such as NEBOSH or ADOSH
  • Has a strong understanding of drainage and sewerage systems, including their operation, maintenance, and associated hazards.
  • Exhibits proficiency in conducting risk assessments, developing safety procedures, and investigating incidents.
  • Displays excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively training and influencing others.
  • Exhibits strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Previous TAQA approval will be an advantage
  • UAE Valid Driving license is mandatory
