Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Implement and enforce HSE policies, procedures, and safe work practices in accordance with company and RTA requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits to identify potential hazards and non-compliance issues.
- Monitor and report daily HSE performance, incidents, and near-miss occurrences.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and verify compliance with site safety regulations among all workers and subcontractors.
- Assist in preparing Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Method Statements, and Risk Assessments.
- Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and emergency preparedness drills.
- Investigate incidents, prepare detailed reports, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Coordinate with the HSE Manager, Project Manager, and Client/Consultant representatives on all safety-related matters.
- Ensure that fire prevention, waste management, and environmental protection measures are effectively implemented.
- Maintain proper documentation of safety records, permits, and inspection reports.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness among all levels of site personnel.
- Support internal and external HSE audits and implement findings in a timely manner.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or Occupational Health & Safety.
- Minimum 3–6 years of HSE experience in construction, preferably in RTA or major infrastructure projects in the UAE.
- Certification in NEBOSH IGC or equivalent is mandatory.
- Sound knowledge of UAE labor laws, RTA HSE standards, and international safety practices.
- Ability to conduct safety inspections, incident investigations, and HSE training sessions.
- Proficient in MS Office and capable of preparing detailed reports and safety presentations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for coordination with site teams and regulatory authorities.
