Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and monitor site-specific Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures in accordance with local regulations and company standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Lead and coordinate safety training sessions for site personnel, subcontractors, and visitors to promote a culture of safety awareness.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, preparing detailed reports and recommending corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to integrate HSE requirements into all phases of construction activities.
- Maintain accurate records of safety audits, inspections, training, and incident reports for regulatory and internal review.
- Ensure the proper use, maintenance, and availability of personal protective equipment (PPE) and other safety resources on site.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities and external auditors during site visits and inspections, ensuring full compliance with legal requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing safety performance data and implementing best practices.
- Promote a proactive safety culture by leading toolbox talks, safety meetings, and awareness campaigns.
- Minimum of 10 year of experience in HSE management within the construction industry.
- Proven track record in developing and implementing HSE policies and procedures on construction sites.
- Strong knowledge of local and international HSE regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and motivate site teams.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, and safety audits.
- Proficiency in preparing and maintaining detailed safety documentation and reports.
- Experience delivering HSE training and awareness programs to diverse audiences.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, on-site environment with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
