Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Key responsibilities:
Support day-to-day HSSE tasks and processes, systems and practices in line with guidance from senior advisors.
Collecting data and observations to support performance reporting, monitoring and learning.
Provide HSSE support to the operational team during geophysical and geotechnical vessels operations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to minimize operational disruptions, enhance emergency preparedness, and drive continuous improvement in HSSE performance.
Assist in the operationalisation of the company s HSSE and/or Q systems, practices, programmes and practices in assigned projects or locations,.
Assist in risk assessments facilitation and contribute to the development of effective prevention and mitigation controls.
Promote a culture of care, proactive risk management, and continuous improvement by building strong relationships with operational teams.
Serve as a HSSE advisor to operational teams analysing and making recommendations.
Contribute to a psychological safe environment that supports reporting of HSSE challenges, experiences, and events.
Assist reporting on HSSE metrics relevant to assigned projects or locations.
Requirements:
Bachelor s degree in engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
Minimum of 7 years in HSSE roles, with at least 2 years in offshore or marine operations, preferably in geotechnical, geophysical, or seismic survey environments.
Proven experience supporting project management teams in high-risk industries (e.g., oil & gas, renewables).
Familiarity with vessel operations, risk management, and international standards is essential.
Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to work independently in dynamic, offshore settings.
Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, or IOSH. Maritime-Basic STCW and or BOSIET.
