Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Operate, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including chillers, AHUs, FCUs, split units, exhaust fans, and cold rooms.
- Perform preventive maintenance to ensure all air conditioning and refrigeration systems run efficiently.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions and perform timely repairs to minimize operational disruptions.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintain accurate maintenance logs and reports.
- Monitor and optimize system energy consumption to support sustainability and cost-saving initiatives.
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as IHG brand standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve engineering-related guest issues efficiently and professionally.
- Assist in equipment upgrades, system replacements, and maintenance planning as needed.

Desired Candidate Profile
Ideal Profile
- Diploma or technical certification in Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Proven experience in HVAC and refrigeration maintenance, preferably within a hotel or commercial facility.
- Strong knowledge of refrigerant handling, electrical systems, and preventive maintenance procedures.
- Good troubleshooting, analytical, and diagnostic skills.
- Knowledge of UAE safety and environmental codes.
- Guest-focused, responsible, and proactive team player.
- Flexible to work in shifts, including weekends and on-call duties.
- Certifications or permits in HVAC or refrigeration handling as required by UAE regulations.
