Roles & Responsibilities
The HVAC Junior Technician plays a crucial role in assisting with the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. This position is designed for entry-level technicians who have a foundational understanding of HVAC systems and are eager to develop their skills under the guidance of experienced professionals. The successful candidate will engage in a variety of tasks, learning to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities
- Assist senior technicians in the installation and maintenance of HVAC systems.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment.
- Learn to diagnose electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
- Prepare service reports documenting work performed and parts used.
- Help keep the work area clean and organized during service operations.
- Adhere to company and industry safety protocols and regulations at all times.
- Participate in continuous on-the-job training to enhance HVAC knowledge.
- Provide basic customer service and communicate effectively with clients.
- Assist in troubleshooting issues and identifying solutions for HVAC repairs.
- Conduct tests on systems to ensure proper functioning and efficiency.
- Deliver parts and tools to technicians working on-site as needed.
- Maintain an inventory of materials, supplies, and tools required for projects.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent educational qualification is required.
- Prior experience or vocational training in HVAC is highly beneficial.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve HVAC issues efficiently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions given by senior technicians.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation.
